Sunroof Broken need help!
Ok guys heres the deal. 87 Rx got the car sunroof doesnt open. Went to the junk yard got a new one (new to me at least). Removed my original sunroof yesterday went to replace it with the "new" sunroof but decided to test it before installing. Well what do you know piece of s**t dosent open either !
Now I cant put the old one back in because its all rusted so I need to fix the"new" one. I know both motors work and when I removed the motors on both sunroofs noticed that I could move on the rods that the motor moves on the original sunroof, but on new one I cant move either of them.
And on the "new" one its loose or disconnected from the rear drivers side corner. (any Ideas?)
If have any idea whats wrong, how to fix it, or at least how to unlock it so I can open the damn thing it would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanx to any and all who can HELP!!!

Probably the cables are bad on the "new" one. It's a common problem. You can get new cables from Mazda for more than the car's worth or, if your old roof mechinism works, just swap in the better looking skin.
Does the motor try to turn? If not, check for voltage at the connector, could just be a bad wire or fuse...

There is suppose to be a manual crank attachement in the center of the roof just behind the sunroof (on the inside of the car). By cranking on that you can manually operate the roof. Atleast that's what it said in the owners manual. Never had to do it myself.
