Suede or Tweed?

In the process of paiting the 87 t2, doing a color change so I pulled the seats and carpet. Carpet is really bad and IM going to replace. IN THIS DRASTIC MEASURE!!! I decided to do somethign hot, the body is gonna be a porshe yellow with a micayellow pearl. What do you guys think for the interior??? Suede, or Tweed???
LEave the carpet stock, or that should be suede or tweed as well. MOST IMPORTANTLY anyone know where I can get good automotive grade suede and tweed by the yard????

Ok suede is the way to go, looks real nice and its reall classy. The stock floor carpet should be good or just get a replacement carpet, black.

I wouldnt get suede as carpet material/. Its not one of those fabrics you want to step on or have dirt and different **** fall on it. I think that regular black carpet and maybe seude and leather seats would be good. Wraping either the bulster in suede or leather and having the midle section the color of the car in either fabric.

i'm doing something simular. had to ditch the carpet, and alot of other stuff needed work. so..........i'm getting tan carpet. suede sparco knockoff's, fiberglass door panels either painted tan (like roof and carpet) or covered in suede like the seats. change color of panels and then wheel coating clearcoat (for duribility).

not quite finished but this combo really seems go great with carbon accents.
IF YOUR GONNA DO IT. GO AHEAD AND DO IT RIGHT!!!

well again since Ive decided to yes go with this AS carpet as well. Where can I get a stock OEM replacment carpet. Maybe Ill take it with the suede right to the canvas shop and see if they can somehow attach this suede to the molding of the carpet. That way its a nice factory fit. I like the velcro spots, and the single pieece that fits over the e brake. You got all those clips and the plastic pieces the slide over the door jams under the kick plate. I need all this stuff so show me the way!!

if i were you, i would not put suede on the floor. lots of places for that, but that's just me.

those clips and stuff are not factory parts i don't think because they are attactched to the carpet. i have carbon kick plates anyway and they aren't shaped the same on the bottom. i had to use goop to glue velcrow under the plates and staple velcrow to the carpet. a carpet shop will do all of this for around 350 including your misc. parts that go over your seats bolts and stuff.

ACC (auto custom carpets) have good stuff for about $130. you can find there add in mags. or on ebay, (they give better deals on ebay).
