suddenly no fuel...
so as I'm driving, I suddenly feel that the gas pedal is no longer giving me gas the car comes to a halt. I struggle to make it to the edge of the lane. I make it but something is up' my car doesn't want to start. I turn the key and I notice that the rpm gauge doesn't move at all. so I sit and let my car cooldown and after a couple of minutes I start her again and it seems the car went and got flooded. I pull the fuses and start her again and the rpm gauge ticks up again and she turns on. does anyone know why this happened so randomly? engine was just rebuilt but I highly doubt that has any relevance... help please

What I meant was when you pulled some of the fuses did you replace any with a new fuse as opposed to just putting back in the same fuse that you had pulled but I'm guessing that you just put the same fuse back in. Your problem might be a result of a bad connection that at times seems to be fine while at other times not so good.

Ah you don't say. I'm guessing that removing the fuses and placing them back in fixed the problem on a temporary basis? Which fuses did you pull? Were these limited to the interior fuse box or the engine fuse box or both? The 15 amp Engine fuse in the interior fuse box is vital for the fuel pump to run and I would replace this fuse to begin with.
EDIT: Also, did the car die as a whole or just a sensation of the fuel cutting out?

I really appreciate your help. but umm... I only pulled the fuses from the engine bay the first 2 to clean up the flooding issue. as for the interior fuses I checked the engine fuse but it looked fine it hasn't burned out. that's why I'm so confused

To clarify a few things when this happened 3 times did they all occur when the car was running and concerning the first time this happened did the car die out to the point where the idiot lights all turned on or did the car die out where none of the idiot lights turned on? Also, when the car acts like it doesn't want to start then put the key to on and see if the turn signals and or wipers work or not. This would tell whether the ignition switch is receiving proper voltage which is absolutely necessary. This would greatly help to diagnose your problem.

A bad engine ground (one going to the ECU) could cause this to occur. Next time this problem arises check the Black/White wire at any of the emission solenoids as this wire eventually leads to the ECU to power it up (only one solenoid needs to be checked). If this wire doesn't have voltage, besides not powering the ECU, it means there is something amiss at the Main relay. Don't touch the key but check these items as is just after the problem occurs to help undertsand what the heck is happening. Also check the wires that come from the EGI fuses of the engine fuse box. These two wires are Black/Green and White/Blue. Do this check "especially if the B/W wire at the emission solenoids don't have voltage. Both lead to the Main relay and the four wire plug can be removed to check for the constant voltage on these two wires. You could also verify if the Main relay is working properly by checking the Black/Yellow wire at the White two wire plug at the leading coil for voltage. Remember, don't touch the ignition key so as to check things just after the problem occured.
