stupid 90degrees hose

I'm sure you all know what I"m talking about. On my 87 TII i'm thinking about re-routing it to BAC valve because i don't think the UIM gets hot enough. I know some off you have done this... how were the results?? Is this a good idea???

...and have a crap cold idle, or just learn how to get at the hose easily. Look at this photo. Remove the rubber TB elbow and postion the UIM as shown. You can see how easy it is to reach with a screwdriver or small socket. I've removed and reconnected this hose numerous times and can think of a many other parts trickier or more work to get on and off. I don't understand why people whine so much about this simple little hose...

Or you can just buy the water hose for the BAC and use that instead of a 90* bend. FWIW I use the 90* bend water hose and never have problems getting it off.
