Stuffing me into the car with a helmet on

Anyone got any useful ideas for getting me into my 88 turbo with a helmet on? My hair brushes the roof without... any way to lower the drivers seat or something? Or should I just cut myself a targa top...

got a sunroof eh?
i got the same problem too. I was thinking of taking out the sunroof and replacing it with a CF pannel or something that doesnt open. This would allow you to take out all the motors that operate the roof and allow for a thiner headliner.

I like my sunroof too much... and being 6'5" I don't think even that would do it...

I feel your pain, brother. My hair brushes the ceiling too in a '90 TII. I think your best bet is to get an aftermarket seat and maybe bolt it to the floor(odds are, you have your seat as far back as the rails will allow anyway). But even if you don't bolt it, it should be good for a inch or two of droppage. There's really not much else to be done... If you have an aftermarket steering wheel, you could get a longer column extender and give yourself a bit more room to lean the seat back, but if you're like me, then you like to sit straight up... Well, the seat is probably the best idea. Good luck!

( I have this same problem too! )
My plan is to eventually convert my sunroof to manual (no motors.. ) and replace the panel with a 2 part carbon fiber bit....

But that happens when I have money again...

(I'm only 6'1")

heh... I tried the 'reclined seat' option... my hands could barely reach the wheel and I was looking out the sunroof

bolt a momo racing seat to your floor should drop you a 1 1/2" just an idea. we can always just pull our seat out and ride on the floor. but that sucks too. ive developed a method of intering and exiting the car so when i ride it dosent bug me as much, i go in whith the state of mind of having to deal with it,and leave whith the same state of mind.
