STUDS ..... pressing
anyone know any tricks to get the studs out of the front hubs without a press? I have a realy big hammer but I can't think of a way to hold the hub wile I pound on the studs. I'm affraid to hammer on then with the hub still on the car, might break something or twist when I hit it. Ideas?!

Remove the hub, move it to a work bench, and pound them out.. If you're going to do it without a press, definitely DON'T do it on the car.
Better yet, remove the hubs, take them to Pep Boyz or some other parts store, and have them press out and press in new studs for you.

use a hammer and a drift to "press" the studs out and use hammer and drift to "press" new stud in. or use a spare lugnut to pull the stud in. careful hammering will not damage hub or spindle.

To put new studs in, wouldn't pushing them in as far as you can, popping the nut on the end and tightinging work ?
works for me..
as for takin them out, just hammer em.. works for me
