Use a good rachet with a socket, cut a 2 foot piece of pipe that fits over the handle. If that does not give you enough leverage nothing will.

if you can gain access to it, there is a square piece of metal that acts as a cover to the shift linkage about 2-3" in front of the gear shifter, if you can lower the transmission just enough to pull that off, you can fill the tranny through there, just make sure you measuer it all off....and put it back on with some sealant

Go to sears and get a set of Craftsman Bolt-Outs. Designed to grab onto rusted/damaged nuts and bolts. Dont cut the damn thing unless you HAVE to.

the problem is i can't make it that far. i'm gonna try this shop up the street and if they can't get it done, i'll get the bolt-outs somehow, but i don't have any other way to get there right now.

Go to the gym, work out for a couple of months, and drink lots of protein shakes... then try again.

I used a socket(like 16mm I think, can't remember) then used my old mountain bikes handle bars as a pry bar. I slid it over the wrench and pulled like a ****.

I then made a pressure pump like Aaron Cake did.
I used a big gallon Arizona Ice Tea jug(plastic) and some vacuum hose. One hole in the cap going to the bottom and another just going tinto the bottle.

Hookup you air compressor with a valve on it and just presurize it until it starts pumping the oil into the tranny.
Just make sure you don't over pressurize it or it will go boom!

Made my job very easy. I laid on the ground watching TV as I kept the pressure up every few seconds. about 10 minutes later I was done.

frankly, I will pull the damm thing, weld a bar to it and hit it with a hammer. Might take less time.

I used a small pipe wrench from Sears. It did the trick and no stripping. Hope you get it off.

i got fed up with it this morning after wrenching on it for about 2 hours and just took it up the street to a local shop. they had to remove the starter and basically hang from the wrench to get it off. it took him about an hour to get it. there was locktite on the threads. i know you're supposed to put some kind of sealer on there, but that's a little ridiculous. i ended up just forgetting trying to save the existing bolt and "borrowed" one from my bro's fd transmission (it's ok, it's out of the car and waiting for a rebuild). i think sometime i need to get some bolt-outs and use those from now on. the problem is, the whole point of all this work was to put some redline MT90 in and temporarily fix my 5th gear grinding problem. well, with my infinite luck, the grinding is still there, so i'll definitely need a rebuild in about 4 or 5 months, depending on how it holds up. the synchro is just plain ruined. i appreciate all the comments, and believe me, i tried damn near all of them.

Wow, that's amazing. Never heard of anyone doing that. Glad the shop could get it off for you though. I hope it didn't cost much! Hope the rebuild treats you better.

Good God Man!
If it's already rounded, use a pipe wrench.
That'll do Ya,
