by the way, my town has this shop that modifys high performance imports, they didnt say it was bad for a n/a
also, the main thing i like to do is just accelerate fast, like from a complete stop to the speed limit, so what would be some good mods to help that be more fun...like a flywheel
I would really listen to most of these guys when they say "tune up". Try and get your car back to stock performance before you start to mod it. I promise it will make everything more rewarding and less likely to cause a major problem.
When you tune it you can start to find immediate problems that might be better investments then something that will end up shortening the life of your car.

If you want acceleration, forget the cone filter (unless it is a good one and you get a cold air intake to go with it)and all that other junk (except maybe the down pipe, but get a good one). Replace the struts AND the springs. Do not do just the struts, it won't be as good and you won't even know it. KYB AGX's are great, adjustable, and inexpensive. And get linear rate springs, not progressive. You really won't believe just how much of a change those two make.
If you don't do them, the car won't like hard launches and you'll drive it soft, negating any power increase.

I appologize for my negative contribution to the site, I actually think a lot of these suggestions are excellent. I think a tune up and some springs and struts are worth checking out. I don't know what the some of the other mod's are but I was thinking, wouldn't NOS blow the engine?
two things, the the modifying imports shop said you cant have a COLD air intake in a rotary engine
also, i did hear that it is really dangerous to have nos in a rotary engine

Sounds like a plan to me. The strut tower bar will sure help to stiffen up the front end and make your struts do the work instead of having flexing.
I'd go ahead and install a polyurithane bushing kit. Your old bushings are going to be dry and cracked and a new set will really help tighten up the car and keep the suspension noise down.

God I HATE Fast & Furious. All of these stupid misconceptions that half the world now has....
why cant you have a cold air intake on a rotary? cold air just means that it isnt sucking in hot engine bay air. a box and a scoop or some clever cutting would accomplish that. lots of people on this forum have one....the only thing stopping me is taking the effort and finding something i can cut through without hurting anything. im sure with enough sitting there staring at my car ill figure out a way to do it. i dont know about you guys, but i get a lot of things done when i just sit there and look at my car...lol.....things just pop in my head...oh man, maybe im just weird
heres an idea that could be really stupid, or maybe good, but i doubt it. you replace the stock air box with a new cone filter. but leave that plastic intake thing in. then get a S shape pole, point it towards thestock intake thing and stick it down to the bottom, next to the fog lights. so there is air coming striaght from the front/bottom of the car, leading to the stock intake, which leads to the cone filter
thats kind of a cheap and easy way to do it
