I would think it is worth it, since like *everyone* who does up their engine does it. And it for sure gives a decent increase in power, i'm not sure how much exactly.

If it wasn't a decent increase, people woudln't waste $300+ to do it to the engine.
That is my take on it

Its MAZDATRIX that says that you dont gain that much power. I need to know from PEOPLE with STREETPORTED TII how they like the power gain or if even they felt any.

with a turbo motor porting is not a big thing but can improve turbo lag and doesn't make the turbo work as hard. with any porting you are improving the flow of the motor. air comes in easier and exits easier. with a turbo or any forced induction you can force the air past almost any obstruction. as for more power again with a turbo this can be over come. at some point the stock porting will be too restrictive and some type of porting will be necessary.

I've been told by a very knowledgeable T2 owner that streetporting a turbo engine is very beneficial and gives great gains...

its well worth to do it if the motor is already out of the car; like if you're replacing it or something.

If you've got to buy a new or used motor for your car; try and get a ported one.

they are full of crapola! hell anyone in the singleturbo section that has a huge turbo has either a big street port or a combo port like (crispeed). it just helps out your volumetric efficency so things dont have to work as hard.... maybe on a stock turbo car say 88t2 20-30 fwhp
