streetport hp?

hey guys, i searched everywhere and couldn't find a straight answer.
i'm trying to figure out what the heck I want to do with my car.

let's say we have a stock s5 13b engine. completely stock, supposed to have 160 hp. does anyone have any idea how much horsepower approximately I will get from a streetport?

also, how much would I get from a stock 13b turbo II?

Thanks guys

I dont think I can do that. All I want to know is what the hp gain would be approximately if you start with a completely stock 13b and 13bt. The only thing you're doing to the car is streetport that's it. I know there are other bolt ons and such but I am just saying for comparison purposes

With just a streetport you're probably looking at a couple hp gains, maybe at most 10-15 (to the wheels). With exhaust, intake, port, and SAFC I think you might hit maybe around 180 to the wheels with proper tuning.

Keep in mind you're not really starting with 160 rwhp, probably more like 130 or something. To answer your question, it really depends on how big the port is. 'Street port' is really just a blanket term for anything that's not stock and not a bridge port.

There's probably something in here that wil give you an idea: https://www.rx7club.com/time-slips-dyno-128/

So I am trying to pick apart the question, are you looking for something like this?

*note** - pulling numbers out of my ***

S5 N/A Stock Port - 160hp (Official crank estimate)
S5 N/A "Street Port" - 165-170hp (Rough crank estimate w/o mods/tuning)
S5 N/A "Street Port" - 170-175hp (Rough crank estimate with tuning)

S5 TII Stock Port - 200hp (official crank estimate)
S5 TII "Street Port" - 210-215hp (Rough Crank estimate w/o mods/tuning)
S5 TII "Street Port" - 220-235hp (Rough crank estimate with tuning)

Straight answer (may be a little harsh)
Nobody would do that, waste the money on a teardown and rebuild just to street port, please under stand that by themselves intake, exhaust, manifolds, ports, all these mods are not supposed to be done alone. They works together, all for 1 and 1 for all sort of thing. Just so nobody jumps on me, yes gains are made from these mods when done alone, just not the gains that can be done together. also completely stock, everything brand new, maybe 160 hp, but still i doubt it. So thats answer that will be hard to give as i doubt anyone has done that. sorry if i busted any bubbles. Spending the money to rebuild and port might be better spent on intake, exhaust, and suspension/drivetrain(so you can get that power to the ground)

And as I said before, this was only for comparison purposes, also as I said I understand other mods are required, i just wanted some numbers to put into my consideration, and I was not being ignorant and saying I only wanted to streetport my car and not touch anything else.

but you cant put any numbers to consideration since... it depends on the person doing the port, depends on the condition of the rebuild, environment and everything.

its futile to try and be logical about guesstimating such variables.

I'm not sure why you're comparing something that can change infinitely. Usually you do a street port when you've done all other mods and the port can really open up the power in the engine. It's ignorant to compare the gains from just the port. That's like saying "how loud will this 1000w subwoofer be if I run it with my stock radio?" You could ask that and someone could tell you, but it doesn't really matter because the subwoofer would sound so much better if it was paired with a quality amplifier.

The simplest answer, is it'll still be slow, and no it's not worth it. Unless you need to split the block for some existing reason it's borderline insane, or you have an endless amount of money to waste on not much. Even with supporting mods, i'd wait until the engine pops or you have an absolute reason to take it apart before porting.

With supporting mods, porting will be anything from 10-40whp, depending upon port/mods.

IIRC it's about 25 on an NA and 50 on a turbo. YMMV. EDIT: But above numbers suggest that it is less. That might be a very big street port for 25 or something may be slowing down his car. Would need before and after dyno to know exactly how much you'd get.

For max performance from porting, you will also want a high-flow exhaust system ($250-1,200) and a fuel computer (about $450) or standalone EMS ($1-4K), along with professional tuning (about $500). A good header and quality fuel tuning alone can gain over 40hp even without the porting. Here are the typical porting differences:

If you are thinking about going turbo, I recommend that you sell your car and buy a Turbo II unless you have a lot of time and money in your current car, such as a very expensive paint job, expensive suspension, etc. Here is a pretty good modification list for the Turbo II car:
