Go with the Yokohoma ($76-$91). Good price and nice preformance.

I just got a set of Kuhmo 712's (225/50/16) in the Z rateing.. for the money I don't think they can be beat.. great traction in the dry and in the wet.. they are also a very quiet tire on the highway.. I don't expect them to last too long though since they have a 280 treadwear (the V rated ones are a 340 wear rating)..
The treadpattern also looks great

ONly thing I found with them that takes a bit of getting used to is the way they tend to track with uneven pavement and grooves..

i've used the Yoko A509 and the A520 and have to say that they grab awesome. drag racing, auto-X and Street racing they can't be beat for the price....when they break loose they come back gradually, not violently. a little noisy, and real good in the rain. i also got two Kumho Ecsta 712 225/50 Z16 for sale. brand New still wrapped up. for 120 for 2 I blew my motor and have to get rid of one of my 7's. PM if interested.

I would say either the yokohama's everyone's suggesting, Kuhmo 712s or Falken Azenis'. I know that the Falken's are great and relatively cheap. I would say they're better than anything else, but I haven't really driven on anything else thats good. something to think about though.

225/50/16 will fit on the stock rims without a problem.. some tires depending on brand, will show some rubbing up front.. most will not..

225/50/16's are closer to stock size then 215/55/16's..

I have GoodYeah Eagle HP ultras on my TII and the grip is incredible.

As for the change in size, I have 225/50/16s on the back, but I wouldn't put them on the front because they bulge out.

Yoko AVS db. Quiet. Grippy. Long wear. Cheap. 7000 miles on them, they still look new.

Has anybody tried Nitto tires? Are they actual decent or are they ghetto and just fall apart?
