I had to lower the driver seat 2.5" so that I wouldnt be bouncing my head off the rollcage.

Didn't you see The Fast and the Furious? Remember his diamond plate floorboard that flew out due to high manifold pressures? Same thing!

I'm not knocking it , I just don't see any real advantage to it besides the wow factor. I suppose you could argue the pedal feel is improved but that can easily be achieved with a 626 mc that is a direct swap.

Evans coolant is the best.
I don't know why you'd run it at 20 lbs though. One of the advantages of Evans, especially with a rotary, is it's ability to cool at 0 psi. They even recommend running a zero pressure cap since there is absolutey no adavantage to running it under any pressure.

I've tried running with no t-stat on road courses. Even with the Evans, my temps would get to hot. Moving coolant throught the radiator too fast does not allow it to cool. Some people claim succes with it though on turboed cars. We used to succsefully run our 25 Star Mazda cars with no t-stats in the summer since the shop manager insisted upon it. However, those were n/a and had two radiators.

Do you anticipate much pressure drop from the ic between the turbo and manifolds?
All I can say is wow Dave. I was getting ready to type everything you just said. I found that just amusing.

I know the thread is a bit old but my first time around.

EDIT: Outside of the MC thing I didn't know that one.

What is up with all the uni body braces and the lower control arm brace maze you have?

Had to lower the seat? Why not just build the cage better?

Solid bearings on the lower control arms = increased force transfer to the car.
the subframes on the car will stiffen the car as well as meet the cage to connect all the points of the car.

Although this engine has a little T4, the car is built for a drop in 1000hp power plant, so in the future all I have to do is "bolt on" more power. no more fab ever!

...unless i hit somthing... a dfinante possability (Never driven really)

as to your quote "Why not just build the cage better?", i resent the implication that its built badly. I simply do not fit... i didn't fit befor the cage and I certainly wont fit after... not to mention the fact that placing a steel bar 1" from your head is a great way to get early retirment from life.

So with that said, In order for me to maintain proper seat position I had to lower the seat 2.5". I did this by using the subframe's as a new support for the seat and cut a hole in the bottom of the car, my seat (sparco evo3) now sits "below" the origional floor pan, now I no longer will bounce my helmet off the Cage, of have to drive with my head at an angle.

Is it your seat that effects your clearance? That I can understand, I have just never seen a cage built and then someone have to cut a hole in the car to clear it. Or are you like 6'10?

he is a pretty tall dude. I think the seat was bolted to the floor and still not enough room?

its the fact that the cage was built to put all the bars and exact stress bending points. with his problem with the seat before, the cage did not help.

ahhhh A good S5 bumper gone! I need one and people are cutting holes in them and putting in foglights, there are already holes in the bumper to put fog lights and it looks much better! The dash looks too strictly racing, I couldn't live with it on the street.

wow I thought this was dead. It will probably be since there are pictures in it...
SO just to make sure, Ill use the links from now on.

I had another thread but it got "absorbed"...

So on the bumper, it was an experiment that didnt work, My next idea is going to.

As far as the racey dash? well check the links and get idea of what the rest of the car looks like.
