The armoured electrical cable shown in this picture is called BX. This has nothing to do with cars. This is about the wires on the wall.
This stuff should be anchored to the walls, within 1 foot of the box it leaves from, and every 3 feet after that. If the aluminum jacketing it crushed, it can sever the wire insulation. Often, if this stuff is stretched py accidentally pulling on it, or pressing something against it (like that desk), the armour jacketing will separate, and the next person to grab onto the jacketing can become the path to ground, which causes lock-on (the electrical signal causes the muscles in the hand to clamp shut, and you can't let go of the wire.) Eventually, your heart just stops.
I only say this b/c I have pulled someone off of BX after he got locked on. I had to tackle him. He was stuck on the wire for at least 45 seconds. He could not let go.
It only takes 2 mins and $1 to strap the stuff. I just hate to see someone die b/c of something so simple.
Electrical code states that BX must be strapped. Electrical arcs are the number one cause of all fires. Your shop insurance would be void if your shop burned down.
Just a little heads up.
I'm pretty safety conscious about electrical installations.

the torque brace on the engine looks like it might get in the way, but im sure it will be worked out, cant wait to see the final product

I thought about that to but what good is dataloging when your ON a road race track.
Its also easier for the eye to focus on a orange needel then a digital readout.

i did say "street legal" and thats because it will drive on the streets and for the most part, get away with it. its not going to be a gutted loud race car with huge slicks and only runs at either on, or off. it will have full interior, look street legal, i never said it would pass emmisions, but for the most part, most of the inspection it will pass. the rest will take a few extra dollars
just wait for the finished product
