Strange tach problem

So I hit a deer and my tach stopped working. Everything else in the cluster works fine and nothing else seems messed up, all light etc work, just sheet metal damage. Anyone have a clue as to where to look?
PS I'm bad with wiring so that's why I'm asking.

Thanks in advance!

Pull one of the trail coil wires til it's just at the edge of it's bore at the coil. Idle the car. Keep your body and hands off the car and pull that wire til it's just out of the coil. IF you see no spark, then the problem with the tach is that the trail coil(s) isn't firing.

If the trail coil is firing, then it's a problem with the wiring to the tach from the trail coil assy that is amiss. A simple check for that is to find a piece of wire that reaches from the LEAD coil assy to the TRAIL coil assy. Bare both ends. One end goes into the single wire bullet connector at the lead coil assy and the other end in the single wire black bullet connector at the trail coil assy.

I'd advise pulling both white connectors off the trail coil assy before starting the engine. Then start the engine. IF the tach still does not work, then it's a problem with the wire b/t the trail coil and the tach (yellow/blue wire).
