All Sports came standard with a sunroof. Not to be confused with the GTUs in '89-90, that didn't have a sunroof.
The only non-sunroof models are '86-87 *BASE* base models and the GTUs. That's it. The early non-sunroof models aren't that common - that was the cheapest possible RX-7 at the time, and most people opted for at least the luxury or sport pack on the base.

I was under the impression that I had an 86 Sport.
- 5 lug wheels/4 piston brakes
- no power windows, door locks (aftermarket alarm took care of the locks, though), cruise, and NO BINS
- it has p/s. I can't say what kind it is since It's never worked more than a few turns after I add fluid (leak in rack)
- but no sunroof.
Is there a way I can find out the model by using the VIN?

I opt for BaseII.
