straight exhaust What can I take off now?

After I put on the true duals I want to know what I can take off.

I mean other than the ACV and the air pump.

scott has a nice write up of emission removal on his site.

Basically:

EGR, ACV, air pump, split air pipe. That's all the emissions related things I can think of that I have removed myself.

I don' beleive you gain HP by removing it. These things are just unneccessary after you have no catalitic converters on the exhaust. I guess it just uncluters the engine bay and gives you a little bit of a weight reduxion. The HP is gained through the exhaust. since it is basicaly free of major restrictions i.e. cats, Y pipe, stock cans.

You'll see it running from back end of the motor on the passenger side and it connects to your stock cat.

You dont gain hp. You are creating a smaller rotational mass on the engine. Combine removing the fan (replace w/ efan), ps, ac and the air pump and you will definately feel a significant change.

an extra fifty to the guy testing the car helps the rex pass with flying colors. Or you could have just saved the stock stuff and just switch to it when yo go to get the car tested.

The air pump and ACV operate the 5th/6th port system on 86-88 RX-7s. I am leaving these two items on my FC even though I am taking off the EGR and belt fan drive for this reason. There is a way to rig an RPM switch to an electric air pump which can run the 5th/6th port system after the airpump is gone, though.

But I am kind of keeping my stock cat to quiet down my ferocious RB header and HKS catback + RB streetport, so I need the air pump for that and am tied to it with a thousand chains.

uh NO the 5th and 6th ports are operated by the exhaust in S4 cars. In S5 car they are operated by the air pump.

If your refering to the rats nest under the manifold...Everything can come off vacuum related if with the exception of the vacuum line that goes from the lower intake manifold to the front of the upper intake.
My car has never ran better with all that **** off...its not about the gains or anything like that its just for the plain, simple, clean look it gives off.
