FL Stock Turbo Question

Hey guys. Recently i discovered that my stock turbo just took a dump. I get a cloud of white smoke when ever it sees any sort of boost and you let off the gas, even when parked. So i was wondering, are there any other turbo's out there that will fit on the stock manifold?

My Next Question is, if i was to rebuild that turbo, what would be a good addition(s) that i should keep in mind? As in compressor sizes, back housings, etc...

I have a 90 GXL with a turbo 2 swap.
I dont know the year of the motor.

So if you guys would help me out with that i would greatly appreciate it!!

Thanks!

No other turbo will bolt to the exhaust manifold. It is a proprietary flange. Look up hybrid turbos/BNR turbos if you're thinking of modifying one.

BNR will build you anything from a stock rebuild to a highly-modified hybrid. I think it is the best option if you don't want a full aftermarket turbo kit.

Ditto on BNR. They can completely recondition your stock turbo. They offer several stages of upgrade depending on whether or not you plan to upgrade the fuel and tuning setup as well. For example, a basic Stage 1 upgrade with larger secondaries and a good tune can easily "buy" you an additional 50 HP/25 lb. ft. of torque. At least that's what a Stage 1 upgrade did for my S5 Turbo car.
