Stock S5 turbo and downpipe I.D.

These questions are kinda lame, but this is the first turbo rotary I've had and I need some help with visual I.D. Are there any easy ways to spot an S5 turbo while its still on the motor? And also, what was the stock downpipe's diameter? I bought a JDM front clip and I just want to make sure about the components I got. Thanks a bundle.

As far as I know, all FC turbos are the same. I think the extra power came for compression increases and VDI, etc. I don't know about the ID though, sorry.

look at the wastegate rod on the turbo. If it's straight then it's a s4, if it's bent it's an s5.

Stock dp size somewhere between 2.25 and 2.5

Cool, thanks. I have a fairly mild bend in the rod about 1/3 of the way down from the actuator. S5, right? And my downpipe has an internal diameter of 3". I was pretty sure the first time I saw it that this was an aftermarket piece, now I guess that this confirms it. Anyone have any idea how much a used 3" Dp normally goes for? Thanks.

yep, sounds like an s5. Sounds aftermarket to me. Maybe 60-70 bucks.
