stock oil pressure guage reading incorrectly, now its spiked

Ya, so my oil pressure gauge has always read too high. I replaced the slave cylinder on my car and when I went to put that ground back on it from the pressure gauge it kinda broke. The little box (condensor?) broke off of the wire. My question is, do I need to get another condensor with the wire to reattach it? Or can I just crimp a ring connector on it and bolt it down?? My oil pressure gauge stays spiked at like 150psi or whatever it is.

The condensor (or whatever it's called) is there to prevent the gauge from frying from random electrical loads. I'd suggest getting an aftermarket gauge since you need a new one anyways.
