stock oil gauge question?

hey all a little bit after i got my car running after putitng a rebuilt motor in the oil presure hguage went to the very top and has stayed there ever since. the wire is still hooked up to the sensor and all but i was wondering what yahll thought it could be?

Hmmmm? I show no oil pressure at all...mine is hooked up.

The condensor is the small black box (maybe 3/4" x 3/4" x 1/4") with a single wire coming off. The condensor is usually mounted to the clutch slave or the tranny (near the slave). It connects to the yel/red single pin connector. That yel/red wire is tied into the same circuit as the yel/red for the oil pressure sender.

It provides a buffer for the oil pressure gauge, and with the condensor disconnected all sorts of eratic oil pressure readings can result.
