stock fog lights, how to install without stock switch

89 gtu... never had fogs, therefore no fog light switch inside, but i do have the plugs for them up front by the headlights.

i have a pair of stock fog lights. i want to install them so that they come on with the low beams, off with the highs, and off when the headlights are off.

how can i do this without installing a switch inside? i just want the low beams to activate them. (i hate aftermarket switches and buttons)

i dont have the mental capacity to understand wiring and electrical stuff, and i have stared at the fsm for a few hours, and i am still stumped. if anyone can lend a hand, id love it.

thanks
tj

just run a wire to the lead that powers your low beams. You may have to put a bigger fuse in.

Just make sure you point the fog lights downward and not up into my eyes.

question, would you get a ticket for running the fog lights when there's no fog in your state?

Jeez, See that speaker wire in the corner of the garage???? go split it so it is two single wires. Mount your fog lights so that they are grounded then use take one of the wires and with your thumb hold it against the lead on the back of the bulb, then stick the other side to the low beam lead on your headlights. Now make it permanent using some scotch tape left over from Christmas.

Take the other piece of the wire, hang it from the rafters in your garage, stand up on the stool and tie the other end aroun dyour neck and jump.

Just kidding don't to the second paragraph. Use the other piece for the second fog light. Just point them downward and not into my eyes.

You could try to find the switch for the stock lights in a junkyard or someone in the for sale section or on the perts trader may have one. Then it is as simple as pluging in the connector under the console. No wiring or figuring out what wire goes were.
