Stock FD rims on a lowered FC, what spacers?

Hey guys,

I'm wondering what spacers you need to fit FD rims on a 1991 FC. I know this topic has been brought up a lot but it's mostly when people have stock height FC's.

The car is my friends 1991 NA Coupe with KYB AGX Struts and Tanaba GF210 springs.

It lowers the car about 1.5 inches I think. He wants to put stock 5 spoke FD rims with the 225/50/16 tires on.

I read that people use either no spacers to 20mm on the rear, and 10-30 in the front.

Not sure which ones would work. Any suggestions?

FC3S Pro v2.0:&nbsp FAQ - Will FD rims fit an FC?

You can do keyword searches on Google, and if you don't like the search function on this site, you can use "site:rx7club.com" followed by the keywords in Google.

@clousborne

Thanks for the link. I searched on google and rx7club and saw that post many times before. Thats where I got the information of the spacer size that I mentioned on my original post.

Most people put FD rims on a stock height FC. My FC is lowered and therefore have different specs as far as tire clearance. I need information from people who have lowered their Fc's and installed Fd rims.

Enjoy. He's got 25mm up front and 50mm in the rear and he's running 225/50's all around so it's EXACTLY what you're looking for aha.

I went with 1" or 25mm all the way around with coil overs, some rubbing on the front quarters/fenders.

new 1.5"lowering springs are probably the same ride height as 22 year old factory sagged springs.

go with what people have mentioned. i dont think there are many fc's at factory ride height left in the world.

So 25MM all around?

Would the rears be fine with no spacers?
Also, if I throw on 20mm in the front wouldn't it help prevent rubbing on the fenders

I think 20-25mm up front and like 30mm in the rear would be ideal. If you didn't put at least a 20mm in the rear it would look sunken in like a stock +40 15x6 wheel.

I read that cheap "ebay" quality wheel spacers could be dangerous. Does anyone suggest a good brand/place to buy?

I run the ebay spacers and not hub centric. Be sure to look for any defects before installation and torque them down properly.

FYI, I've quite possibly caught air in over some railroad tracks before w/o any issues...
