stock exhaust size?

Well I just got back from having my cars emission done and it failed. I am starting to think it is the cat. So does anyone happen to know the stock exhaust size? I have a high flow 2.25" cat I ran on my saturn for like 2 months. So i figure that could be a cheap fixer.

The exhaust is about 2 1/8" until the y-pipe.

Probably not. Rotaries have particularly nasty emmissions, and the extra air is needed to help the catalyst process. It also keeps the cat from burning up.

I think I have heard of a couple people doing that. But unless you have a turbo I don't see any benefit to it.
