Ok, I just got my horn working again and now the alarm works. Tested it by having the window rolled down and then arming it then reaching in and unlocking it, then it went off... but the only way that I can make it stop is by popping the hood and disconnecting the battery. Only the driver side works, and you can unlock it using any key. So I guess its not triggering the disarm thing correctly? Is there a way (for now until I can find a full set of locks/ignition for a fair price) to make it so it disarms if my worn down drivers lock is "unlocked"? If not is there a way to disable this system until I get the said components? thanks

The rear trunk door and the front hood should trigger the alarm... there is somthing wrong if it does not. This is how mine works... I have an 88 rx-7

So if someone cuts open my top (god forbid) unlocks my door (alarm goes off) and the guy gets in the car, and tries to hotwire it, it wont start because it disabled the starter?

Yes if the alarm is working right.
I kept my window rolled down, then unlocked the door by reaching my hand through, thereby setting off the alarm... even with my key in the ignition i couldn't stop the alarm. (but didn't have my foot on the clutch to try and start it) but while the alarm is going i am assuming its cutting the starter.
