stock air box mod

ok everyone has there idea of what will make the stock air box perform better well I have read over all the ideas of cutting holes in the lid, or cutting holes in the tunnel inside the air lid (the tunnel form the snorkle to the middle of the air lid)

here is what some people do:






here is what I did





I removed the divider in the opening of the lid, and I removed the actual "tunnel" all together so the air comming from the snorkle will travel right into the filter and all over.

I did'nt want any hot engien bay air if possible so I just left the exterior of the lid untouched..

let me know what u guys think!

***BTW*** I did this a couple weeks ago and I cant say it made a noticable improvement but I do think it does help a bit.

i doubt that is going to change anything. be it for better or worse.

the only way to go to get better performance is cold air box or fenderwell CAI. i recommend fenderwell intake.

I have a setup in the process for a cold air box. I plan to install it during the hibernation season
