Stereo Help
i just got a new alpine stereo, dash kit, and smart cable wiring harness today. got the dash kit together, soldered the wires from the smart cable (mazda harness-into-universal) to the wiring harness for the deck. turn it on, lights up great. no sound. i cant figure out whats wrong. i dont care about the antenna i hate the radio but i would like some sound damn it. its really frusterating. i did a search but didnt find the info i was looking for. i commute every day and need some kind of sound to stay sane. any help is appreciated. also i did go over the wires and found that there are more wires going in to the mazda harness than coming out of the smart cable, and i am aware of the factory amp and was wondering how to bypass it. its a 91 vert, that came stock with the pioneer amp and the combo CD/Tape deck.
thank you

Any thoughts on what you can do for rear sound for an 88 vert?
I'm pondering finding the parts to do the headrest speakers but it seems this is going to be painful
