Red face Steering Wheel Nut Loose AGain!

This is the second time i tightened the steering wheel nut, becasue it got loose. I got the NRG innovations quick release kit, and since i have it on the steering wheel nut keeps on getting loose. The last time i got it adusted with an air gut and it was cool but now it is getting loose again? is there somethign that i could put to prevent the loose from coming loose? I was thinking of putting a pressure washer there? any suggestions?

Isn't that a locknut? If so, replace it with a new one.

they make Nuts with a plastic piece on the inside(compression nut?)..it sort of locks the Nut on..but honestly I would try to either Put a C clip on it,.LockTite it,or even Double nut it.you do NOT want that NUT coming loose!(after all there is already another loose "nut"..AT the wheel!!..Just kidding!).

use a compression washer, they're cheap and work well. And if the nut keeps coming loose after you use the washer, then you know that the nut is the wrong size or just worn out.

Nylock, or locknut. There's also all metal versions of locknuts, usually where they take a nut and squish it to be slightly oval or triangular so that it puts force on the bolt or stud. Works well in heavier duty or hotter applications.
