Steering wheel compatabilities?

Hey guys, my Rx7 is in need of (other than a rebuild) a new steering wheel. I have an '86 GXL, and I was looking to see if this Rx7 steering wheel fit without modification:

It's hard to tell.
I have a collection of steering wheels (mostly Mazda), some fit, some don't.

Although I'm not certain (so load up on salt), I think the difference lies in the donor steering column, whether it was tilt or fixed.
I believe the taper behind the splines is different, so some wheels will seat fully, some won't.

FD steering wheels will fit, as will Miata wheels and some Mitsubishis, but you may have to improvise the horn connection. If it's an airbag wheel, you won't have the slipring that the FC uses but it's pretty simple to adapt (or just make from scratch).
