Steering Rack Question

Are the steering racks from the s4 interchangeable with the steering racks from the s5? My coworker has an s5 power steering rack, I have an s4 manual rack, and we want each other's steering racks. If they do interchange, the pump, lines, and hoses should all fit too, right? thanks!

I am not too positive on the power steering stuff, but I wonder why it wouldn't.

Also I have an S5 with power steering that I swapped over to an s4 manual rack and no problems.

Some people say to use the top brackets from the car the rack is from, the brackets that hold down the rack to the crossmember. I used my original S5 brackets and no problems. Hope that helps.

So, am I to understand that I can swap a 15.2 rack from a TII into a 17.4 rack from a 91 Coupe?

The passenger side mounting bracket is unique to the PS and the Man rack.

The man rack is thinner...and so is the bracket.
