steering rack dissasembly

im trying to tak eappart my steerign rack to depower it..however I cant/am nto sur ehow to take the tie rods off the main shaft..There is a 22mm nut that I would assume is where is detached but I cant budge it in eather direction...is there a trick to this...or am I way off? thanks

More torque

Try using a Cheater pipe(long pipe to get more torque on it). I had to use a very big 22 wrench to get mines off.

thanks guy I actually got it appart yesterday with a bigger wrench...but in the process I got another question raised by my landlord.....I started a new thread about it but no comments yet feel free to look
