7 o'clock???? holy crap.... does car car squeal when u drive? do both the front wheels point in the same direction? if so... then someone probably pulled the steering wheel off and put it back on mis-aligned.... to check... turn the wheel lock to lock and see if they point opposite of each other at each lock... that will tell you what's going on.

Center the front wheels,

remove the steering wheel,

align the steering sensor to the proper position so that when you re-install the steering wheel it is correct.

Install steering wheel in the correct position.

Don't know how the S5's are set up, but if they're anything like the S4's, on the steering shaft in the engine bay, below the u-joint & under the rubber boot, there's a keyed shaft that splines to the servo valve shaft on the rack. If you remove the locking bolt under the boot, and loosen the rack bolts (so that you can push the rack forward about 1 1/2" to disengage the keyed shaft), you can turn the wheel, then reinstall the keyed shaft for any position you wish...Then reinstall the lock bolt & the rack bolts. Viola...

ok ive never taken my wheel off before.

but i did remove the horn cover and noticed a large bolt in the centre. i assume thats what i unscrew to remove the wheel?

i wish someone has pics of the wheel off and such, im a very visual person and dont know what a steering wheel sensor looks like.

no worries guys, i fixed it already.

i got so impatient i ran out in the middle of the night and did what I-mark suggested hoping my neighbours wouldnt think im stealing a car...lol.

anyhow taking the steering wheel off is hell ovf alot easier than post previously on other "steering wheel removal" threads....i didnt hit myself or anything.

....the hardest part is screwing back on the 3 screws that hold the horn cover in place.....GRRRRRRR.....i gave up after 20mins doing it, i now have a straight steering wheel with a big crater in the middle and a horn cover that got alot of swear words thrown at it.

thanks for the help icemark and wayne88n/a..

well i might wanna check ur steering wheel first. im not sure if uve taken ur wheel off before, but theres a sensor with 2 arrows.

the steering wheel has 2 holes vertically arranged in which pegs go into. the pegs r on the sensor itself (above and below the big centre bolt) so theres no way of attaching the wheel incorrectly. basically, u match the 2 arrows together and attach the wheel and ur steering is straight again. my 2 arrows werent matched.

im saying this coz the alignment u got might be a fix for a diff. problem....and if so, ur steering wheel postion is still not what its suppossed to be.
