Steering gear question

Ok on my 90 GXL n/a, the power steering fluid is leaking and it was on the rack so i looked it looks like it is coming out somewhere under the steering gear boot, but is there a o-ring or something or am i just going to have to get a new, or used steering gear, and if so where can i get one at

If it's anything like the S4's, there is a hydraulic servo valve on top of the gearbox, with many internals seals for the hydraulic "pathways". The valve core itself can be removed from the rack, out the back, fairly easily if the rack is out of the car, and the seals replaced. Sometimes the oil cooler hoses will leak onto the rack boot, making it look like the steering system is leaking, so check this out first...

If it is leaking from the steering rack boot, yes, there is an o-ring in there to seal the ends.
