What are you asking for? Something that adds steering angle? If so, I think you can add some shims somewhere in the steering knuckle, or something like that. Try searching for "drift steering angle" or something like that.

If I get what your saying your having trouble holding the drift. I get the same problem. I can't get the angle I need before the rear grips I hit the steering lock point. I was reading yesterday on the forum and some one sugested this sight .they show how to increase from a 40 degree steering agle to a 45 degree. Alos they show an extream mod of getting it to 50 degs

yea... you need to improve your driving. no offence.

i was able to hold angle and speed with a completely stock 88 GTU that you will see in my sig. once you can control the 7 with its low amount of angle then step up to more angle.

also you probably dont have enough speed goign into the corner and that is why your rear end is gripping. there are many things that come into factor here. ruling driving skill out [ even though you really shouldn't] camber, tyre type, tyre width, toe all in the rear matter alot. also same goes for the front.

fc3s's spindle mod is one way of getting angle, the other less labor intesive is getting a set of SUPER NOW! bump steer eliminators and steering angle spacers. the street version costs 285 shipped and the race version is 395, only difference being hte rond end. you can buy this from eyecandy on this forum.

Yea, just like FC3Slider just stated, you should be able to hold your drifts either way... You probably dont know what you are doing. However, if you can hold your drifts and want to step up to get bigger angles then you can get the Super Angle Kit. (Not for Newbies as you have to be able to drift in order to take advantage of it.) If you think the kit is what you need then click on my Avator and search in my recent posts because I just posted the link for where you can get the Super Angle Kit for somebody a couple of days ago. I have heard nothing but good things about this kit and the GP sports kit which does the same thing. Have fun driving and be safe... keep it off the streets...

The spindle mod is where you lengthen the arm that the tie rod connects to, which increases steering angle.

No, thats the spindle mod.

Lengthening that "rod" on the spindle would make the angle shorter. Lengthening the inner tie rod "rod" (if you were reffering to that) would change nothing aside from causing a need to adjust the tie rods in to compensate for the added length. It owuld not change the stroke of the rack.

Here's mazdatrix's angle kit which is also adjustable for the bumpsteer you'll introduce by making changes like this:

I cant see why some of you say that the super angle now kit isnt for newbies. Offcourse if you learn to handle the car really well without then youll be muuuch better with them. I drove my car with stock steering a few meets, but after i mounted them the car was much better to drift! More angle more fun

This is the part I don't get...
The bump steer parts (which are the outer thingies in the pic) have nothing to do with increasing steering angle.
In fact, the inner parts (which shim the steering rack) which increase steering angle, don't even affect bump steer...

Bump steer is only affected when you change the height of the steering rack relatively to the ground or when you change the ride height of the vehicle...?

i agree RETed.. Strange that nobody have just the shims for sale as a seperate kit.. But then again, most of the drift guys got really low rides....

^^^ it raises the tie rod mounting point which in turn lessens the angle of the tie

rod in comparison to the a arm, raising the steering rack would be mighty difficult,

now moving it forward is another story and has been done

same design as the splparts bumpsteer kit for s13

Now the spindle mod is very effective in creating steering angle but it comes at

the price of adding miles of toe which you have to cut and reweld/sleeve the tie

rods to compensate for. for a track only car cool, for you DD id just get some

GP/MAZDA/RE/HomeDepotSPL angle kit and call it a day.

if i can get some pics of the additional angle in my friends car ill post em later, its pretty ludicrous, almost looks like something is broken.

Yeah, forgot about that.
You shim the ends, and then you gotta cut the stock ends to bring the toe back into alignment.

I guess with this kit, you just swap out parts, and you're good to go...
