Starting up...

Every morning, when I try to start up my RX, it wont want to. I step on the clutch and brake but I get nothing. Sometimes I have to kick-start the car in order to get it going. Anyone have this problem and if so, how can one go about to fix it? Thanks.

Is the engine cranking? Does it crank and not start?

Yeah, we had to kick-start it.

Yeah, it cranks up but sometimes it wont start and sometimes it will.

So it cranks but does not start. Can you smell fuel when cranking? If it's a Series 5 (89-91) you can depress the throttle fully to cut fuel on startup and help clear the combustion chambers. This won't work with a Series 4. Check out Kevin Landers' very helpful tech section on flooding:
