starting probs still after unflooding procedure

k guys ive flooded my engine supposedly, i have tried the quick unflood procedure with no luck whatsoever, it sounds the same rrrrrrrrrr as it did before. next i tried the complex unflood procedure with the atf fluid otherwise known as a compression start. the first time i fucked up and forgot to floor it when i was draining the fuel out and no luck, the second time i got atf in the front rotor housing but did not get as much in the second rotor housing... would this cause it not to start. i had the battery hooked up to another one in my gf car so its not power. the car sounded so much better the second time and almost wanted to catch but did not catch... i saw smoke come out of the tailpipe so im assuming i had some sort of combustion. do yall think that the prop was i did not have enough atf fluid in the rear chamber and i should do it again.. are there multiple startup procedures i could try? the link to the one im using is this one.....

any help would be great thanks in advance guys

Dude... watch out how much ATF you are putting in that thing...... if you DO get it started..... be prepared for a HUGE, and I mean Freaking HUGE cloud of smoke to belch forth from the exhaust for a LONG time afterwards!!!!

Change Your Plugs..... the ATF will foul 'em out and it won't start

make sure you are getting spark on all spark plugs. Right now my car the leading plugs wont fire and my car wont start but my trailing plugs do fire and smoke comes out of my esxhaust to. so you should check and make sure you are getting spark

the amount of atf dsnt raly matter. but did you clean the plugs(spry carb cleaner on them then light them on fire) before you attempted to start it. because that usulay cuasses it not to start

First of all please use OIL instead of ATF. I can't find the writeup, but the ATF will eat your seals, your just risking blowing your engine earlier. Oil is harmless and your engine was designed to burn it.

Also you may have flooded it so much as to completely wipe all the oil off the seals. In that case your car can lose quite a bit of compression as that oil is what helps make a seal.

Also take your plugs out and just let them dry.

you can get an Inductive timing light to test to see if the plugs are firing.

take a pair of vise grips or someone with some pliers and have them squeeze the rubber fuel line under the hood while you crank. You'll see two coming right out of the firewall. One is the feed. If you can stop it briefly until it starts then open it back up it'll start every time.
Peace!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,

I had the same problem after someone hit me just would not start. Did all the flooding stuff no good. My bro toed me around till about 65km/h dropped second and it coughed and splutted so I hit the gas and the car splurted to life covering the the BMW 7 series behind me in the biggest cloud of smoke I've ever seen come out of a car. I drove round for 5 mins and it was perfect.

Cheers
Chris
