Question Starting Problems ?

First of all I drive an 86 N/A pictured in my avatar . So for the last week Ive been workin on fixing a hesistation problem regrounding and all kinds of things . When I go out to start it in the morning to go to work it starts right up . But say after a few hours sitting and I go to lunch I try to start it and it turns over and over then it will either flood out or if I wait a few seconds and try again . It will act like its wanting to start and ill have to hold the pedal down and it will be stuttering as its gettin to run and white smoke but it just smells like fuel . I think my starter I dunno other people are saying the starter is fine . Anyone let me know thank you in advance . Somtimes I have to get under the car and hit the starter to get it to want to start to .

Also quick question I used to have a way to big fuel pump on it and two way to big secondary injectors . I have since fixed that put the stock pump in and 4 new low 460cc injectors in it . Also has K&N intake on it other than that its pretty much stock . Can having the bigger stuff cause the FPR to crap out ?

Possibility

When you stop fuel pressure remains in the rail. If your injectors leak it will flood your engine. The starter could possibly be overworked.

I dont think the injectors leak . So the brushes are probably worn out I think its the original starter to I can't be sure about that . I am planing on getting a new starter but I needed to be sure of what was going on before I went and spent money on somthing I may not need .
