I have a 91 NA and it wont start, the engine cranks and sometimes it will fire and immediately die. this is within half a second. also i can push start it and it starts fine but sounds like **** until i rev it to about 3000 for about 3 seconds.
this started out as a sometimes wont start when hot problem and got worse until it became a sometimes wont start when hot or cold and finally cranks but wont start.
i checked the battery and alternator and they are both fine and the starter drops battery voltage to about 11V when cranking. i just did a compression test and all 3 chambers on both rotors have the same compression.
does anyone have any suggestions? please help
i can currently drive only to school and home since both are on steep enough hills to start it.
