Unhappy starting issues

hey guys me again. i just swapped motors in my 86 and it acts like it wants to catch and run right off the bat, but it just doesnt want to act right and i am lost the timing is set both trailing and leading. am i missing something to check.

the guy i bought the engine from said it would run but only for a short time then it would die, but after like 30 min it would start back up and run etc.., but am i fogetting a key element to check or is it just because the engine sat up for 2 years. by the way i soaked the seals in marvel mystery oil overnight. it sounds good turning over just doesnt want to catch. help i want to grow my hair back out so i can pull it back out, lol

Man, that really sucks. Don't give up on the RX yet. If this is a hobby car, look in to engine rebuilding (if you have the time, space and patience). Or, you can just have one of your two rebuilt.

Good luck, and don't give up!

What do you have to lose, worth a try.
