starting help

when i crank my motor, the motor tries to turn over but doesnt, the rpm tach doesnt jump at all, im thinking its one of the coils, which one is it and why this is happening.

OK, let's clarify some definitions here...

Doesn't turn over= doesn't rotate at all

Right?

it cranks, motor turns over but doesnt start. the rpm tach doesnt move at all, im thinking it could be one of the coils? i dont know which one and why

Do you have an inductive timing light? If so, install it on a leading plug wire. If not, pull a leading plug, reattach it to the wire, sit it on the engine, and crank her over again. See any spark?

To start you need:
cranking RPM's >150
Compression
spark (properly timed)
air
fuel (not too much)

(At least with a Wankel you don't have to check valve timing.)
