starter not turning

Okay... so I've replaced the starter in my car close to 6 times, doesn't matter if I use OEM, rebuilt, or generic auto-part store brands.

This last time it went out, I said screw it and just replaced my whole engine with the streetport I had lying around. Since then I have driven 600 miles on the last starter I put in, and she's gone out again on me.

I'm looking at what could be the possible causes of them failing?

I have done the following:

- Checked all of the bolts to verify it is grounded and in place
- Wires are all still connected
- Starter cut relay is fine, I bridged the connections and still nadda

What am I missing? What could be causing these things to keep dying on me?

Do you know what is failing in all the 6 starters you've replaced? Maybe a wiring issue?

With the car "not in gear" take a screwdriver of proper length and bridge the positive terminal of the starter to where the B/W wire connects to the solenoid and it should turn over. If it does this then check for voltage on the Black/Green wire at the starter cut relay w/key to start and there should be battery voltage. Try these and then share what occured.
