Today driving to the beach my car did something weird...the traffic light turned green ..I put the car in gear but it didn't go it almost felt like the ebrake was all the way up so I throw the car in neutral let go of the clutch and it turned off on me ...so ok I start the car again an still goes into first and second but dosent move it kept feeling like the ebrake was on so I tried 3rd 4th 5th and reverse and none of them go in but when I put it in neutral the car is in reverse ...when I NEVER EVEN PUT IT IN REVERSE IN THE FIRST PLACE so anyway the car is in "neutral" but it goes in reverse and won't come out of it can anyone please help I jus bout this car 3 days ago and I'm really hoping I don't have to replace the tranny...thnx in advance

Sorry guys I did some research (wat I should of done in the first place) and I found a post on the problem ....thnx anyway

 

I know you said you found a post on the problem; it might have even been mine because I had this problem not to long ago.
The best tool to use to get in the hole and move the shaft back is an allan wrench.
It takes a lot of time but its worth being able to drive forward again.

I had the same problem, it's fixed now, but I don't want it to happen again without knowing what i can do when it does. Please and thank you

 

its something to do with a fork thing in the tranny right i remember seeing someing about this a couple times before able to go in a few gears not into others
