Unhappy Starter doesnt crank

I am in the process of doing a TII conversion, but doing mods on everything that gets put on.. I am very close to finishing right now, but I ran into a problem. Since I relocated my battery and put the engine/tranny/ starter in I tried to crank it over a bit. Cranked over real strong, then the starter got slower and slower, so I was thinking oh probably the battery going dead. I put the charger on it and it was full(new battery). It's been probably 3 days since then and today I tried to crank it over a bit more and it cranked real slow for about 3 seconds then just stoped. Everything inside the car works fine, but the car wont turn over. I have no clue what the problem is.

I have a ground wire running from battery negative to frame. Then a ground wire from starter/bell housing bolt to frame. I do not see a problem... I am running 1/0 gauge wire with 2 200amp breakers at each end.

Any ideas anyone?

Check voltage at starter. If = battery voltage, rap the starter a couple of times and give it a try. Could be a problem within the starter. If so have it checked at parts store to be certain.

I just took the starter out and checked it out, doesnt work. So i guess the starter went out, but did it go out just cuz or something with my wiring you think? I mean did lay around for a long year outside(covered), i sprayed a bunch of WD40 into it also to get it loosened up...

how hard is it to turn the engine over by hand via the front pulley/ belts? (just in case it's not a bad starter)
