yes i searched.
i tryed to use the fuel cut and it did squat it still smoked but it smells like gas, it only does it on start up after sitting a few hours. and it smokes for 5-7 minutes and shoots out a massive cloud that will cover half the car. it just started doing it 3 days ago too. i dont know what the deal is, any ideas? 100 K on the engine and it passed the tests when i got it.
what do you guys think?

what do you mean you did the fuel cut???

Your description suggests either leaking injectors or a bad water seal.

What do i THINK???

I THINK one of your coolant seals took a crap... it smells like gas because the coolant is cause the fuel not to burn completely

I bet if you get a trained beak to sniff it, it also smells like hot antifreeze

no id know that, thats what my old engine did, this ones not losing coolant. its definatly gas, and i have a fuel cut switch and used it before i killed the car and it still did it, but i did it again today and it didnt smoke much at all. btw it was warmer out today if that makes a diff.

I think by fuel cut he's talking about the whole unflood procedure switch for fuel pump. But yeah, sounds like leaky injectors..

Flip the switch to kill the car next time. It ensures that all fuel is gone. Let it sit do your normal thing.... if you get a lot of exhaust, it's a coolant leak, for sure.

IF and ONLY if you're sure it's not coolant seals, it sounds like injectors to me. My water seals are shot and I won't get an add coolant buzzer for a good month (they're not that bad off). It also won't smoke after just a few hours though. If you want to be SURE on your coolant seals (ever) just shell out a couple bucks and get your hands on a coolant system pressure tester.
