start up problem question...
ok so in the morning my engine is dead cold of course. so i crank it and it goes up to 3k and doesnt stay for 30 sec. it then drops to about 2k and slowly dies down to 500 and then dies.
i usually hold it manually at 3k to keep it alive and then i drop it to 2k and let it warm to the second cold line. then i lett it idle at 1500 to warm up the rest of the way. can anyone help me found out what wrong??
i would like it to warm up properly on its own and not have it die on me?

ok when driving it woks pretty randomly....when its warm it stays on no matter what unless i turn it off with the ignition. usually it idle either at 1500, 1k, 800 and sometimes bounces at 500-800 trying not to die. it usually bounces when its real warm and when i come to stops after slowing down from 4th gear cruise and still it doesn't bounce everytime just sometimes.
most of the time its idleing at 1k-1500.
will this help your diagnosis??

ok so i have some more questions:
would any other emissions componets keep it from happening like an acv or egr? and i told my friend who i bought my parts car from that i got new spark plugs and i got two trailing and two leading and he said you want to have all trailing, is he right and what would be the advantage of having two trailing??

Set the idle per the FSM using the initial set coupler etc. Your engine is hunting up/down from five hundred to eight hundred because the BAC is having to compensate for a idle that is /was set at too low a rpm. It sees the low rpm and opens to compensate.........engine revs up above seven fifty.........BAC cuts back ........rpms fall again below five hundred..........BAC sees that and compensates ..........and on and on. Read and follow FSM.
To more or less prove that, get your engine fully HOT. Idle it as best it can. Pull the BAC elect plug off OR jumper the initial set coupler. I bet the engine dies. Idle set too low. Set idle to 750 per the FSM using the initial set coupler etc.
