ok so i replaced my lower intake manifold gasket and upper intake manifold gaskets... BTW are a big *** bitch .... Anyways when i start up the car its like i have the throttle to the floor is there any reason for this im thinking its prolly gonna be my Throttle body in which case i have a new one comin in the mail... but i was wondering if big vaccum leak could cause this? thanks

i was thinking the LED windsheild washers added too much horsepower with my Euroclear taillights and black strobe light inside are just overwhelmingly to powerful for my car

Could be a vac leak. When I replaced the injectors in my project Civic (gasp!) I accidentally left the PCV hose disconnected. Upon starting the car, it shot up to around 5.5k RPM. You might want to look out for broken or disconnected vac lines.

it's most likely something w/ the TPS or throttle cable. When my friend Brandon got his new engine, we drove down the road and his RPM SHOT up. After inspecting it, an interior clip had made it's way to the airbox (thanks to the people who installed it) and lodged itself in the TB. This messed w/ the TPS and it didn't like it.
In other words, check around the TB and look for anything out of the ordinary.

* I know 89's have an electic oil meter pump, but do they still have the rod from the throttle go down to that area? I friend of mine had her OMP rod get hung up and it held the throttle open. *
Needless to say, she drove it home that way. Blew the engine and cooked the brakes.. heh heh.. some people..
