Starion Rims

I tried searching, but didn't find a definate yes/no answer. Will the staggered 16x7 and 16x8 Starion rims fit the FC? How much flare is neccesary? Anyone have pics?

Find out what the offset is. I think it's around +10, which means they'd stick-out of the fenders like monster truck tires.

Just did a little search. They are not +10 offset, but -10. No way they will work unless you don't mind running nud flaps.

Fronts are 16x7 with a +18mm offset.
Rear is 16x8 with a -10mm offset

Per tireracks little offset calculator, the front would be 35mm wider. That would be within the realm of 30mm widebody fenders. The rears would be 75mm wider; it would stick out almost 3 inches , but then again I wasn't talking about a totally stock application (asking about flares for a reason).

Again, has anyone done it?

the front ones will work fine in the rear but i have a pair of the 16x8 -10 and you need to pull and stretch to make them work... so im just trying to get rid of them now... but the 16x7 should work

i got them on my car... only need a 1 inch pull in the rear fenders.

get the 16x8 for the fronts of the 16x8/16x9 combo, i believe that 8 is +15 offset or something reasonable to fit, but hard to get.

Takes a bit of work and "vision", but I've had it on one of my FC's for a while... Not wheels for the faint of heart. Felix just had the rears--which isn't suprising considering that the fronts hit the brake calipers BIG-time.

and it takes like a 10 or 11mm spacer to fit the fronts on i think i used an 11mm spacer on mine and it just barely cleared it

EDIT: OH MY! Ressurecting the dead!

Oh well. For anyone interested. I'm running the USDM spec starion rims on my car with single piston brakes and didn't need spacers at all for it to clear. If I was keeping the car, I would probably put spacers on the front to even out the offset.

Top 2 pics are with 205/50 all around, last is with 205/55 all around

Rolled, not pulled and not rubbing with the 50 series. It did rub with the 55 series.

Depending on how low you want your car, you might have to pull your rears and run a shitload of camber up front.

Not just a roll but a pull. Phonebook/newspaper/useless haynes repair manual on top of the tire......
