N374??????

I've done tons of searching concerning the N374 jspec turbo ecu and its use in usdm fcs. I just don't understand why the ecu has issues in any turbo application (whether its a N/A jdm swap, N/A usdm tII swap, or a genuine usdm TII). Am i missing something? All 13bt's of like series are pretty much the same right? So why would the n374 run a stock jdm fc, but not a N/A car with a jdm engine swapped in? During my searching i found some interesting pieces of info such as the ecu not firing the primary rear injector & their being tons of programming differences between the 370 & 374. Why would this happen? The jdm engine operates the same way as the usdm engine regardless of what chassis it's in? Doesn't make any sense. I'm looking to buy a 1990 N/A with a jdm swap....Just trying to get some answers. Thanx

I run a 374 in my USA TII. No issues at all.

But i do have all the emissions equipment removed....

If you wanna hear something really whacked. We are tearing down a non-turbo AT car. We got to the ECU and found a 370 in it. LOL

The odd thing is it starts and runs fine. Purrs like a kitten! But it's about the slowest car i've ever driven...

Hmmm.....That's interesting. The jdm engine doesn't have all of the emissions equipment that the usdm t2 does am i correct? Rotary Resurrection actually posted in a thread regarding the issue and he basically said that the N374 seems to work fine on genuine USDM t2s, but not NA's converted to turbo....Which to me still doesn't make any sense......Why would the N374 work flawlessly in a real USA t2 but not a N/A that's converted? Esp if swapped cars are using all the t2 accessories/sensors, how would the ecu "know the difference".

just a guess here. maybe the swaps that don't work aren't using the boost solenoid and knock sensor. the n374 ran my genuine t2 fine and it was 100% stock under the hood. the boost solenoid would not work though and it was a low mileage jspec.
