Yeah i have had this exhaust for about 2 months or so. I wrote a thread about it too when I first got it because for 240 bucks I did not expect much out of it. Its pretty nice though.

Some people don't really care, but it is not a TRUE full 3 inch exhaust (as advertised)

Yeah, i did notice that some of the joints are little smaller then rest of the exhaust, though i doubt this will cause a majaor difference.

It shouldn't, but I must admit, I was kind of pissed, since they advertise the systema as a full 3 inch, and on top of that, they confirmed it on an email.

i have that exhaust too. fit ment sucked. i had to "massage" some things to get it to work. mabey it was just the bend on the dp that threw it all off. i have new engine and tranny mounts so all that is in order.im going to try and get a 3 inch mufler welded in that area so i have a full 3 in.

if you look on the ssautochrome site it shows that it uses obx R stuff. so im pritty sure its made by that company. but hey for the price it works and thats all i needed.

I went to there website and the only Rx7 exhaust I could see was a catback for a 3rd gen?

I also tried a search on ebay motors and got nothing...?

I emailed them, so hopefully they'll get back to me soon. Can anyone post a link perhaps?

Thanks

you couldn't find an exhaust for the fc on ebaymotors? Does anyone have dyno, or track numbers with this exhaust? Does the car pull harder? I kinda wish my turbo II had more power, first i'm going to get it running good, then put a custom 3" intake, rewire the fuel pump, and probably this exhaust....good huh? so does it make the car faster? the 3" racingbeat was like a 59 horsepower increase, is this exhaust the same or atleast 50 horsepower?

+1 for the SS Autochrome exhaust. I just installed one on my 89 T2 and it's awesome. It looks more like a $1000 exhaust than a $272 exhaust! Loud as hell without the silencer installed..

Mine fit fine...on both my TII and NA. On my TII I bolted the exhaust to a Corksport downpipe. So the fitment to a corksport downpipe is fine. If that clears anything up about how close the SSAutochrome and Corksport exhaust systems are.

Maybe its just me being picky... but I really dislike the sound our cars make going through those N1 style mufflers. Yes that system is cheap, looks to be decent quality, and looks to flow very well, but I think it sounds terrible. I know my RB 3" system on my Turbo, or my Greddy cat-back on my N/A were 3x the cost, but I think just the difference in sound is well worth it. Just my $.02...

This sounds terrible? You're not one of those people hoping to have a quiet sports car are you?

I dont need/want my exahaust to be inaudable, but I also think a loud exhaust gets really old, really fast. I want to be able to hear it roar when I stomp the loud pedal down, but just crusing on the highway at 60MPH and having reverberations throughout the cabin, and not being able to hold a normal conversation without raising my voice is just plain annoying. This is why I prefer the slightly heavier, thick walled tubing of the more expensive systems ( RB , etc.. ) as it really cuts down on the drone and raspyness. My Greddy system even has 2 extra silencers in the Y-pipe, before the mufflers. I think a good exhaust should only be loud when it needs to be

Since i have cats in my setup, my car is not loud at all in the cabin. You can hear the exhaust, of course, but it's not as bad as you're describing. I actually have to turn the stereo down to hear my car now.

There is more vibration now then before, and i'm not sure why.
