Squeeling from rear when turning?

Im not quite sure what it is, but almost everytime I take a fairly hard turn, there is this aweful squeeling from the rear of my car. I am pretty sure it's coming from the wheels. I think it might worn out bearing or something. Anyone know what it is?

Thanks,
Jordan

Might be alignment, had this problem on another car. Ever time I turned the rear would squeel like a pig. Does it sound like your rubber shoes on tile floors? I might also be tires when they have been to weather beaten the compound gets hard and does this too but most likely your alignment if you never had one.

Hmm I think you might be right about the alignment because I am in major need of it. But that will come after the new suspension I get here in the next week Bearings don't make that noise, though do they?

no, if it was bearing you would also feel the car vibrate when you brake and/or fast ticking noise when you drive close to a center divider or wall

Do you have an LSD? My bet is on the tires.

It's for sure not the tires. I do have an LSD. 88' turbo. But I'm still trying to figure out how the rear alignment would make that noise. Now the mentioning of the differential... that could be, I guess. After the new suspension, I will be getting new tires as well as alignment. So if by then the squeeling hasn't ceased, I know it has to be the differential, correct?

Jack up the rear and tug on the wheels. If there's perceptable movement get your wheel bearings replaced. Mine went, but it was more of a constant metal on metal rubbing noise, not just on corners, but then again, on corners, the forces on them are higher. Even if there's no perceptable movement they could still be bad. FC's are at an age where many of them will be needing new wheel bearings.
