Squeaking when headlights are on

Ok so, i installed a new clutch in december, i didnt have the time to get the flywheel resurfaced, i fully understood the concequences(sp) of premature clutch life, clutch plate glazing, etc. Now only 4 months later i get a squeaking sound that sort of sounds like a glazed clutch plate but not quite (my old worn out clutch made a similar sound but not quite the same) but it also sort of sounds like a slipping belt

Now, the weird part is that the sound only occurs when i have the headlights on (giving more of a load to the alternator, while also changing idle), and only occurs when enguaging the clutch from a stop, or downshifting

What im wondering is if anyone has had this problem, and if so, what turned out to be the cure for this.

Thanks

Just a random thought but, have you greased your headlights? Maybe they're bouncing around.
Given the description you gave doesn't sound like that but, hey it couldn't hurt.

It sounds like a belt issue to me. I can't think of any relation between the clutch and the headlights except for load on the engine, and that load is going through the front of the engine from the alternator. It sounds like anytime the engine tries to change rpm quickly the alternator isn't keeping up because of a slipping belt.

I'd try changing a $5 belt first or tightening the old one.
